Product Overview
The Automatic Large Diameter Fiber Cleaver prepares large-diameter and specialty optical fibers for splicing and termination. The operator sets the required fiber tension on the touch-screen interface, and the system automatically adjusts the micrometer head to control the cleave. A diamond blade and a tension-and-scribe cleaving method are used across a range of fiber types, including PM fiber, large-core fiber, fiber bundles and glass tubes.
Technical Positioning
Interchangeable holders covering diameters from 80 μm to 3000 μm, or custom sizes, allow the same unit to move between standard fiber work and large-diameter or bundled-fiber preparation. Adjustable cleaving parameters support repeatable results in production, while the same flexibility suits fiber characterization and process development in R&D.
